As we countdown to winter solstice, the longest night of the year, help us illuminate the darkness with your donation and bring knowledge and understanding to the human connection with nature.
Your support is integral to making Arctic Sound a reality in three main areas, sound, editing, and science.
Sound
One major element to Arctic Sound is sound itself. We have had a preliminary meeting with Skywalker Sound and they are interested in taking us on as one of their documentary projects. Combining our in the field hydrophone recordings with the skills of the best post-production sound house in the business will take Arctic Sound to the next level.
Editing
One of the biggest pieces of any film is the crafting of the story in the editing room. Add to that sound editing and visual effects and you can see how the budget for a film, even a documentary can grow. Please assist us in creating the best story, look, and sound we can bring to the screen.
Science
Though we are not scientists we work closely with them to tell the story of what they are learning about our world. Sometimes this includes the Arctic Sound team collecting and analyzing data in conjunction with other institutions. In specific we will have a closer look at acoustics with Dr. Heike Vester. We need your support to fund the lab analysis and hydrophones for this research. Please donate and join us in expanding our understanding and appreciation of orca.
